PROFILE ON DESIGNERS
Faith Oluwajimi is a young Nigerian designer, who has incorporated his dark, mysterious but beautiful personality into his works. Since Faith started experimenting in knitweardesigning he has been able to create garments with a quirky, artsy and gender blurring aesthetic
BLOKE
The brand has carved out a niche as the only rising emerging Knitwear brand in Nigeria and also has amazing following from both International and African Press such as Vogue Italia,BOF(Business Of Fashion),Pansy Magazine,L’Officiel Italia,Hunger Magazine,WGSN,Vice Nederland the brand has also got amazing reviews from Fashion Editors such as Elsa Zaccanti, Sara Maino, Jan Hoek and many more. The brand was mentioned in Vogue Talents as one of the Fashion emerging brands changing Fashion globally. Also got featured in Vogue Italia Article written by Selena Olivia ‘AFRICAN FASHION: between Styles, Fabrics, and Designers to be discovered”. 
The brand also got mentioned in an article written by Jan Hoek of Vice Nederland as one of Nigerian’s groundbreaking designer to discover in 2018. The brand was picked as one of the fashion focus finalists and showed their first collection at the just concluded LAGOS FASHION WEEK and also emerged the winner of EMERGE ALARA 2018.
IYANU 
Iyanu Odewale is a Nigerian Native textile designer based in the UK, She celebrates her trans-cultural identity with her unconventional style which enables her to express creative freedom in her designs.
She focuses on creating Textile Designs. Iyanu has the natural creative talent to combine graphics, composition and color. Her Textile designs have an instantly identifiablesignature in print, fashion or illustration.
She successfully completed a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Textiles and was selected for ‘The Cass’ design postgraduatescholarship, where she completed a Masters degree in Fashion & Textiles (2014). She won ‘Hedonism Award’ and ‘Best in show’ for the Cass School of Art & Design Graduate Show.


Her designs were featured in Cover Magazine, a magazine known for Textile and interior design in the UK. Her clever use of illustration and textile design got her nominated for the Carpet Design awards 2019.

For the YOUTH exhibition, both designers who have created a successful niche in their fields decided to collaborate from two different countries UK and NIGERIA to create pieces that speak to them as a new generation.

The Aim of the YOUTH EXHIBITION/PROJECT is to take a step further to express a revamped African Identity of the new generation.
YOUTH EXHIBITION opens its doors on Saturday 10thNovember at Whitespace Ikoyi. 58 Raymond Njoku Street, Ikoyi.
